v.2 Evolution
Our V.2 wing introduces significant refinements over V.1, with a stronger focus on aerodynamic stability, control and performance consistency across a wide wind range.
A deeper, more forward draft profile improves low-end efficiency, upwind performance and overall stability, allowing the wing to generate usable power earlier while remaining composed as wind increases.
The Strut Loop system locks the canopy to the strut, improving load transfer, canopy tension and control, resulting in a more direct and efficient feel on the water.
A new W-80 warp-oriented cloth on the trailing edge reduces stretch by 40 % compared to standard canopy fabrics, minimizing flutter and maintaining a clean trailing edge under load. The main canopy uses the new W-50 cloth, a lighter version of W-80, improving overall efficiency and handling.
Additional refinements include radial seams aligned with primary load paths, trailing-edge stabilizers oriented perpendicular to the trailing edge to resist flutter, a lightweight radial patch at the end of the strut to control stretch, and a lower leading-edge handle that improves flagging stability and neutral handling in waves.
